We started working with InsurTech start-up Urban Jungle at the beginning of 2019 to help raise their B2C and B2B profile in the consumer, insurance and technology press. Our ultimate objective was to encourage new customers and help build partnerships.
Founded in 2016, Urban Jungle is a fast-growing challenger brand in insurance and already one of Trustpilot’s top rated home insurers in the UK. With a strong focus on Generation Rent it provides contents, gadget and tenant liability policies.
We got the account off the ground quickly, agreeing key media targets and talking points in record time and kicked off our activities with news of Urban Jungle’s recent £2.5m funding round. Working closely with the UJ team on the draft announcement, we managed to secure an exclusive in TechCrunch, along with 25 other articles in the tech, startup and trade press, reaching a potential audience of 41.1K and resulting in 336 social media shares. To make the most of this momentum we then announced UJ’s consumer product, securing two pieces of national coverage in The Sunday Times and The Sun in our first hit.
