FinTech content marketing and PR
Lauren succumbed to the lure of The Crowd in 2019, joining as chief content creator across our fintech clients, but we go way back…
Lauren was the first intern Sam ever hired back in 2004, when she was still at Bournemouth Uni studying PR. After being persuaded that consumer PR or ‘selling lipsticks’ was not the best fit for Lauren (and she didn’t need much persuading), she dove headfirst into B2B tech.
After a brief stint with pure tech clients at one of the world’s largest PR agencies, Lauren soon missed the acronym-filled world of fintech and so joined VC-backed startup FRSGlobal in 2009 as global PR manager. Within a year the company was acquired by 19,000-strong information company Wolters Kluwer and Lauren’s remit expanded to cover analyst relations, internal comms, crisis comms and M&As etc etc.
Always one for a challenge, Lauren then went on to manage product marketing for the Finance, Risk and Regulatory Reporting part of the business, and was soon responsible for the planning, development and execution of global market approach and demand generation strategies for her business unit.
Lauren is thrilled to be reunited with several of her former colleagues from those early agency years, this time from the comfort of her own home in the’ burbs where she lives with her husband and two cats: Ventoux and RuPaul (named after an epic bike ride and epic drag queen). Lauren is a keen gardener and has recently discovered the pleasures of Clubbercise and Zumba classes at her local gym, which she now has time to attend, as she isn’t stuck on a train for three hours a day!
