Providing PR to a public sector commissioning start-up
We began providing thought leadership PR services to adam HTT in 2017. This rapidly growing SME provides digital technology which enables local authorities and healthcare commissioners to buy better quality and better value services in social care, healthcare and transport.
Initially the tech team focused on introducing adam to key media and explaining how its technology improves options for commissioners, service providers and end users to educate the market. Then we used a mixture of reactive tactics eg commenting on the headlines of the day and proactive outreach, offering articles on public sector procurement challenges to ensure a steady stream of credible coverage with an early highlight a meeting with the BBC health editor.
Mark Young, head of marketing, adam HTT: “We were cautious about PR after a bad experience with a previous agency but The Comms Crowd really understand our target market and how best to articulate our proposition. They keep on top of developments in the industry so that we can offer timely comment and we’ve enjoyed a fruitful partnership together.”
Awareness is already up which can only be a good thing if it improves efficiencies in local government and improves the quality of care for citizens.
